It was a good race, but Whincup's been fined for having the audacity to celebrate. This is an FIA event after all, FIA = Fun Isn't Allowed.

Yep, James Warburton mentioned it in an interview published in this month's Wheels. He also confirmed that one manufacturer in 2018 won't be running a V8 (probably Holden), the gen-2 engines should cost around $20K (as opposed to $100k engines today) and he doesn't see a full GT3 season happening.

The racing there hasn't been terrible recently. But Symmons hasn't produced anything for a long time. The track is too short and passing is really hard.
