Is the A3 saloon going to be sold in the UK?

All cars entered in the series have to be on sale in the UK through a manufacturer/dealer network, to prevent another Integra situation from happening.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it was a repeat of the Integra. Not seen any on the road though I wouldn't expect that size of saloon to be a big seller in the UK.

I was not expecting it to look like that!

Sort of similar to the Redstone livery of 2012.

After reading Rotek's press release, it seems their car will be badged as an S3, not an A3.

Just looking at the new btcc.net (which is very good, altough incomplete), on the the calendar page, they have an image of the Donington GP circuit. I wonder if this is an error, or a hint that they'll be using that layout this year? All of the other circuits are correct.

I believe it is an error, but it would be stunning to have them race on it.

Lots and lots of new rumors emerging today. Motorbase have said that '2 champions' may be driving for them (althought not specifying BTCC champions) and that Shedden has said that there could a few previous champions returning to the fold. Turkington was going to sign for Warren Scott's team but that deal fell through. Lots of exciting news going to come out in the next few weeks.

Warren Scott's team? You mean the organization formerly known as Team HARD? ;)

Talked to Matt Neal today, great guy, made time for us even though he blatantly had 4000 people to meet up and network with, etc.

His hand/finger is still very weak though. He said he still had 3 months of recovery ahead of him so it could still affect the start of his season.

Other than that you can tell the entire team is secretly excited about running the estate car. They are already getting a lot of publicity over it with all those silly pictures of it pulling a caravan etc, so Honda is happy, and while they're not expecting a title they're do expect to win a few races in it.

I'll be airing the interview on Friday on a Motorsports special sport show if anyone's bothered, once it's aired I'll whack it up somewhere for you all to listen to.

Menu's name keeps popping up. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

So if there's speculation about former BTCC champions rejoining the series then I can expect the list of realistic potentials to be:

- Gio
- Menu
- Rydell

It cannot be Muller or Thompson, Cleland and Aiello have both long since retired (but would be an epic inclusions) and Biela would be highly unlikely. The only other vague possibility would be Tim Harvey. That would be welcome purely on the basis we wouldn't have to listen to his commentary any more.

Jack Goff is '90% there' in pulling to budget together for 2014.

Menu or Rydell would be great. Such classy guys, on and off the track. That would be enough to get me to a race meeting this year

Andrew Jordan mentioned Menu and Gio to me while I chatted to him.

Shedden is an ignoragnt t**t!

Neal is a nice guy.

Rob Austin was on top form (despite being drunk from drinking jagerbombs untiil after 5:30am!!)

Why do you think that of Shedden?

Tom Ingram is now pretty confident he will be on the grid in 2014.

Shedden was fine with me :D

Plato was literally the only person that wouldn't talk to anyone unless you went through his manager first.
Even John Surtees didn't pull that kinda nonsense. Brundle kindly let us know he couldn't talk on the podcast because of his Sky contract but was gracious about it

Didn't bother talking to Plato as a result. (could you imagine.......:p )

"Hi Jason, why are you always wrong all the time in everything you do, you giant silly man!" *rest of the podcast is the sound of me being smacked about the face by him*

Just one of his favorite trolling comments through the years. Sheds is a pretty cool guy all told, if you're looking for ignorant arseiness then Plato wins every time in every way.
