Boy that looks identical to the A4. Thanks for the confirmation.

Don't think the angle of the render helps, I imagine from side on it'd look quite a lot smaller than the A4. Guess the saloon boot will help with the aerodynamics and protect the rear wheels a little. Is the A3 saloon going to be sold in the UK?

It's already on sale. Think it was released October 2013.

Alan Gow is scheduled to make an announcement at 12:15. Wonder what it is.

Thanks and that's excellent news on Jackson. The Proton has been a very handy car these past few seasons.

As for the A3, it's as gd49 says. The render used looks very much like the A4 but it will look very different (smaller dimensions and boot) when it hits the track.

You sure you haven't picked up a copy of One Direction's calendar by mistake?

Chris Stockton's car is a lot more finished.

The bootless Imprezza was a thing of hatred for me (it is sacrilege really), but weirdly I like the bootless Cruze. Even though they are pretty much the same body.

I'm assuming that the announcement was the formation of the partnership between Haymarket and the BTCC, meaning a lot more press coverage. I think we knew that this was going to be the case. It will mean that Autocar and WhatCar? branding will appear on the cars and there will be a lot more coverage of the championship as mentioned before.

First bit of news announced. The Classic Super Touring Series will join the BTCC bill at Oulton.

Fantastic news there, it looks like they're going to have a massive entry this year. Ever since this series was announced, Supertourers have been flooding into the country faster than the Bulgarians (funny that quite a few of them were in eastern Europe in the first place :p ).

Great to see sponsors signing up for more than one year. If anyone deserves it, it's Rob.

All cars entered in the series have to be on sale in the UK through a manufacturer/dealer network, to prevent another Integra situation from happening.

I can take or leave Jackson. He's nothing special, tbh.

That's looking a bit of a mess already. The colour of the Ningbo lettering on the windscreen doesn't match the body, when they should be the same. The Union Flag doesn't really go with the light blue, and that Chevrolet sticker looks like it been put there just for the sake of it. I don't like the Cruze hatch either.

More press coverage is excellent. I hope it helps the series become as popular here as other national series are in their respective countries.

Just looking at the new btcc.net (which is very good, altough incomplete), on the the calendar page, they have an image of the Donington GP circuit. I wonder if this is an error, or a hint that they'll be using that layout this year? All of the other circuits are correct.
