You just hate tuning in knowing that Chevy can come from 8, 9, 10 on the grid and sweep the podium. Seat didn't dominate that bad. We were so lucky to have all those works teams for that many seasons. I'll always remember 2006 when the top 9 went into Macau with a shot at the title. This year 9th will be 300 points out of the lead.

And how is this situation Chevy's fault? Answer, it isn't. It is Seat to blame. Once they introduced that diesel, rather than try to build a better car, then manipulated the FIA to suit their cause the other manufacturers started to turn their back on the series. I don't like seeing one manufacturer dominating a series like you or anyone does. But to blame Chevy and to hate on them for reaping the benefits from a situation they've not created, well that's retarded.

I think people get tired very quickly of people winning regularly. And maybe it is more of the FIA's fault for allowing Seat to get the advantage anyway.

And I also think that people tend to look on older days with rose-tinted glasses, often nothing will ever be as good as it used to be.

I know it wouldn't be popular but I'd rather Chevy went too and we'd have a more competitive championship of independents.

I mean, its not hard to work out why Chevy are there, the same reason Citroen are in the WRC, all they've got to do is show up and they're guaranteed a manufacturers crown to make a song and dance about in their adverts, but as a spectator I'd rather no manufacturers were there than one dominant one.

Oh well, as you say at least they're allowed to race, though I can't help feeling Muller will be the Loeb of this championship...

Wow that's harsh. Comparing Muller to Loeb? That's a little unfair on Seb.

Another way to compare this season with 2006: No Dirk Müller, no Jörg Müller, no Priaulx, no Farfus, no Thompson, no Larini, no Zanardi, no Rydell on full time. WTCC in 2012 seriously lacks characters and depth.

Absolutely... and I wasn't blaming Chevy for anything, just saying that its not so fun to tune in and watch the only works team dominate. That's just how it is though. There is still good racing and a grid of almost 25 cars. Still enjoyable to watch if you can block out the Chevy dominance.

I finally got to watch them both. Not much overtaking inside the top 10 huh? Was exciting to see the Chevrolet's not make much progress forward in race 2 though. If it wasn't for Menu's slowish lap in Q2 we surely would have had a non-Chevrolet winner. Maybe that was their strategy though to make certain they won both races? Probably the least exciting races in a while but it was good to see so many cars ahead of Muller. lol

Very very impressed with Coronel's start to the season.

Marrakech this weekend.

The races are 11 laps so we know they'll both be extended to 13.

I say 16 of the 26 laps will run behind the safety car.

Most of which consist of marshals standing around wondering how to move a car.

According to Ben Constanduros, Yvan has mullered a Moroccan Moggy, which has caused meow-ner damage to his bumper. Nothing catastrophic for Chevrolet, but not great for the feline.

He also said that the cat was far happier to be run over by a professional driver at a WTCC event than being flattened by the poor driving standards in the inferior BTCC
