Oh that looks awful. Far far too small.

Why not put the number with the drivers name in the window? This new solution makes no sense.

Race numbers will be moved from the front doors to the rear side windows, above the driver's name.
This solution, that has been already adopted in a number of other series, including the World Rally Championship, allows spectators and TV viewers to better recognize the cars and makes more space available for sponsor branding on the cars' bodywork.

Look for Rickard Rydell in this year's WTCC.

MacDowell has confirmed his 2012 plans by announcing he's joining Bamboo

Autosport.com wrote:
"I am absolutely delighted at being selected by my new team bamboo engineering to represent them in their 2012 WTCC campaign, driving the 1.6 turbo Cruze," said MacDowall, who finished ninth in the BTCC last year.

Just looked up his team mate, Pasquale Di Sabatino, who I've never heard of. He doesn't seem anything special.

Be interesting to understand how the finances of that deal work - was MacDowell paying for his drive in the BTCC too? Surely paying for a WTCC drive can't be less than a BTCC drive?

I did read his statement as "I'm absolutely delighted to have outbid all the other pay drivers looking for the Bamboo engineering seat in 2012, as soon as my cheque clears I can't wait to get behind the wheel of their car!" TBH
