Well, considering what a low the Skövde race was, this one was pretty good. Exciting at least. This was supposedly Mantorp Park's only available date for this season, and I am glad they put the effort in to make this race happen. Even if they put no promotion in.

Was a good evening of racing. Should keep doing it, and for fucks sake, promote it!

Yup, tbh, what's not to like when there's a Thursday night full of racing?!

Problem is, after "The Split", STCC does not come across as a thrustworthy organisation (like IRL), and so the publics interest has gone even though the series have merged again. As long as they have these silhouette cars, there won't be a surge in interest. Hopefully TCR will become the formula over here as well in 2017.

Not trust, momentum. IndyCar always has the knack of screwing that up.

Falkenberg and the classic Västkustloppet (the west coast race) this weekend.

Västkustloppet was originally run on a road course outside the town of Falkenberg, before the current track was opened in 1967. It is still Sweden's fastest, and the shortest track on the STCC calendar. Usually brings good racing though, hopefully it will be worthwhile this time. 13 cars on the grid, the crown prince is back.

In STCC, a pole position is worth as much as a race win.
