kals wrote: So with Marc Hynes' announcement I'm wondering how many other fellow British F3 Champions (and possibly graduates) have raced in BTCC. Here's where I'm at: Champions Marc Hynes Kelvin Burt Jonny Kane (1996 TT only) David Brabham Johnny Herbert Andy Wallace Jonathan Palmer I'm only going back to the 1980's but who else am I missing? As for graduates I know Plato used to race in F3, back in 1992. There must be loads. Derek Warwick, Warren Hughes, Steve Robertson, Peter Kox, Rickard Rydell etc. Martin Brundle raced touring cars before F3, David Coulthard made his one-off appearance pre-F3 also. |

Tomorrow's going to be another interesting day me thinks. And if it is as left field as Marc Hynes appearing from no where, could be an interesting day. Also, that's us just in December and boy 2014 is looking great already! |

Knowing Autosport, I'd guess any 'interesting breaking news' would be something we all knew about and was public knowledge 3 or 4 days ago. |

Don't think so, I think I've pretty much got all the confirmations together. |

Stephen Jelley was one of the more recent F3 refugees, but there are probably quite a few others. |

Glad to see Hynes get a seat - he works a lot with the Marussia youngsters so it's awesome that he gets a deserved race seat. |

Someone was flinging a rumour around on Facebook that the ES announcement involves Civics. |

So what's happened to this 'interesting breaking news' that we were expecting today? |

Peppermint Hippo (or whatever James May called it once) and Team ChavScum. That is an absolutely perfect matchup. |

I don't see the issue with Spearmint Rhino sponsoring ES Racing. As the article states, they already sponsor a Superbike team and it's really no different to Playboy sponsoring a car in DTM. At least it's a legitimate source of funding, they've hardly gone down the Vic Lee route have they? kart99 wrote: http://www.amdtuning.com/news.read.cfm?articleid=5212 AMD have bought one of Motorbase's Focus Driver will be announced next month Good to see that they have a decent car. Hopefully AmD and Motorbase can work together and get some more *ahem* performance out of the Focus. Also, there's been a slight change to the Clio Cup calendar. It's still 9 events, but they will now be attending Thruxton and missing Silverstone as the latter clashes with a WSbR event. |

What I meant by them being a perfect match is that the kind of people who enjoy "gentleman's clubs" are very much the sort of people who would be fans of ES Racing. Chris James is exactly the kind of guy you'd expect to own a sleazy joint like that. Or at the very least a chain of sex shops |
