Kinda of interested in this series, I wonder how much coverage the USA series is going to get. Considering the USTCC doesn't get any media coverage at all from what I can tell currently. Hopefully this could help touring car racing grow in the US again.

It won't. There's no indication that anyone will even buy TCR chassis. They've had a class for the current TC2 cars for a few years and no one has shown interest. Purpose built FWD 4 bangers won't work in this country. Not by themselves.

I kinda of figured with it being completely new as well and just out of the blue with a US series. I also don't think they would work by themselves either like you said.

I'm really warming to TCR you know.

I also like what Lotti has said regarding countries such as Britain etc in that he wont touch them for the foreseeable future because the respective championships are far too strong at the minute and he is targeting areas which don't yet have the strength.

The BeNeLux organisers seem optimistic. They'll be running a single event this year before running a full championship next year, hoping for a grid of 25-30 cars.

Jordi Oriola will race at two rounds this year.

One thing that has me slightly concerned is the lack of drivers who've been announced. It's just Oriola & Engstler at the moment, but I imagine the majority of the field will be young drivers.

Timetable for Sepang:
Quote:
March 27th
12:40 Free Practice 1 (20 min)
16:00 Free Practice 2 (20 min)

March 28th
12:30 Qualifying
15:30 Race 1 (9 laps)

March 29th
12:35 Race 2 (9 laps)

The lack of track time is probably due to it being an F1 support race.
