Honda's biggest concern is their new power unit, which is relatively untested / unproven. But I think they may just be purposely down playing their chances like they did pre-2007 when they launched the new Civic. And that car won race 3 that first race weekend.

But it was way off of mounting a title challenge

Oh too true, but the chassis which has been developed as is now (4-5 years in development) will be a viable title contender this season, it will just have a slightly weaker engine first thing.

They have to be consistent though. IIRC Neal had a horror one weekend last year and it cost him. Plato will be taking 30 points at least a meeting I'd guess so Neal/Shedden need to be finishing on the podium a lot

Ah but testing has shown the turbo's to be better. Jordan, Nash and Neal were ahead of Plato so who knows? I'm willing to bet no one will be running away with it.

I think the Chevvy is the best package. But on power circuits they might be fucked

Paul O’ Neill should also go well in last years Chevy.

You can't really say that the turbos were better. For all we know, they could have been running underweight, not to mention that Silverstone is an ideal track for those cars.

Again very true, but you seemingly forgotten about Plato's nightmare day at a wet Brands Hatch which allowed Neal to get in to the title lead and get a big gap. :p

Very true. I just think that over 30 races, Plato & RML will be very hard to conquer

I'm supporting PON this season. To see him win again after such a long time would be awesome, he'd been in tears once more, after Brands in 2000 (pole), Oulton Park in 2002 (first win) and then Thruxton in 2009 (podium).

Paulo is awesome. I'm hoping he'll win something again with this Chevy.

I read earlier somewhere that Nic Hamilton was 17th, so he must have been last...

Yeah, he was 1.3 off the pace. At least he's gained 4 tenths since this morning.

He was. The timing is somewhere on TSL's site. Not a surprise really - making your racing debut in a series like this is an odd deal. Guess it's all about publicity but the media glare will be hard on a novice.

Personally considering his disabilities I think he's incredible.
