Yeah i hope the series is as good as it was last year.

I am worried though that Gio might just walk away with it, with Plato and Jackson gone

Same here, I hope Turks can put it to him. It would be nice if Neal would return to form, but VXR vs. VXR :( . I expect Team Airwaves to be strong. Adam is an unknown though...I hope he can perform at the same level Steven Kane and Collard did the last three/four rounds of 08.

Good stuff. If anyone knows how to run the Lacettis, it's the Ray Mallock crew. And there aren't many better BTCC drivers than Jason Potato. Has he actually tested the car yet though? The car will be setup well I'm sure, it just might take some time for Plato to get used to the car.

Very good news. That is interesting that Plato is driving for RML as opposed to Tempus.

Seems a bit odd that this would just appear out of nowhere... April Fool on the Plato thing perhaps?

That's fantastic news about Plato, Brands will be much more competitive now. It's good to see the 1 series back as well.

That BMW 120D was horrifically slow in 2007, it'll just clog up the field again.

As for Plato...well, I'm not overjoyed to see him returning, but the wanker does pull in the crowds...I dunno.

Just saw that Jason Hughes has been ruled out for this meeting due to his knee injury. Thats a disappoinment.

We should all rejoice, three safety car periods across the BTCC races, gaurenteed!

I noticed the Autosport article was carefully worded. In between stuff like Jason saying "The BTCC has been an important part of my life, I'm glad to be out there" etc etc, he and the team are saying "we hope to find the funds for a full seasons racing.." not mentioning the BTCC in any way apart from this weekend.

That plus them mentioning they're here due to the gap in the WTCC schedule leads me to think they'll be taking Jason and the car WTCC'ing if they find a budget and maybe if we're lucky fitting in the BTCC around it if there's no clashes... :?

They have had a whole year off to develop the car, so I'd expect it to be a lot faster than it was a couple of years ago.
