Plato's having a go at the Arena Fords again (bit more subtle this time.)

John George's crash was the only one that made me fear for the driver's life, although I missed Mike Jordan's at Silverstone a few years ago

There's still the potential for someone to have a stuck throttle at the of the Revett Straight and go piling into someone at the Esses, or at Sear as well (in front of the yay tree). Also I remember Cleland having a big one on the exit of Coram which kept him out of the next round (Flavio Figueiredo - now there's a driver that doesn't come up in conversation every day)

Snetterton is one of the safer circuits over here. Corn fields are a safe and amusing way to slow the cars down! Only really the Bombhole and the corner after that are a little short on run off but I've still never seen anyone hit the wall there at speed.

I can think of a couple of big accidents in the support races though. A clio had a wild flip in the first corner in 2006, or 07. Also Alex Brundle going straight on in the rain at the first corner and almost killing the cameraman! :p

Yep, the guy was pretty brave to keep the camera pointing at the action instead of legging it into the fields.

BTW, Has the summer break tempted out more Clios, anyone know?

Doesn't look like it. Only 12 have taken part in today's first test session.

There is some good news, though. Adrian Newey is driving the guest Ginetta this weekend.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Yeah it's changed a bit over the years. The old exit to the esses didn't used to very safe, it was bit of a bottleneck under the old bridge.

By the way, I think Snetterton are missing a trick here, I bet they could get loads of advertising revenue by charging companies to stick large cardboard heads on the tree.

For example,
