Good race in the end, but lots of mediocre driving.

Even though I'm not keen on having the V8's race at Bahrain, I love the racing there. 3, sometimes 4-wide down straights is something you don't see every day.

And, after hearing David Addison's work last night, I couldn't care less if they gave Matty White the arse and put him in the booth. He's a bloody good commentator who should be employed full time by 7 next year (and with White's TT commitments, I reckon there's a good chance of that happening.)

What else does he commentate though?

He commentates on FPA for MotorsTV.

Was also the lead commentator on Best of Havoc 2. Ah, memories.

It was Neville. His son Richard also commentated for Channel 7 at Bathurst, every year from 1986-1998

David Addison has commentated in Australia before, he was on Channel 7's coverage of the 2002 and 2003 Bathurst 24hrs

Well I'm amazed this thread isn't longer because I just watched the races (and qualy!!) on Motors TV (which despite the one race of the season which would be more fun for them, timezone wise, they still showed delayed...) and thourougly enjoyed them, which makes a change :)

Three abreast racing on a lot of the restarts....wowzers.

And I'm sure David Addison was a refreshing change for Aussie viewers but for the UK types, he gets EVERYWHERE! :p

Is the replay on today the full races from last night or just highlights?

Dad watched it and said they were excellent races so must see it!

Damn this track produces heeps good racing! Stayed up till 10:30pm to watch the replay of race 2 and it was very exciting, my dad said he saw race 1 and it made race 2 look boring. They need to make Most of the aussie tracks wider so they can go 2 and 3 wide into corners like what they have been doing at Bahrain!

We just need better tracks full stop. QR, Symmons Plains???/ I mean these have to go down as some of the worst track in the world.

Seriously Bahrain is such an epic race for touring cars. So wide, great criss/crossing opportunities everywhere as well.

This is why we need a new state of the art permanent track built in Aus. Would also allow heaps of asian series to visit each year.

out of all the races at Bahrain, race 1 was the best, but they were all very good. Just a shame we dont get more races like this.

What does this David Addison look like? He was never on camera. Interested to see if I recognise him.

Symmons is unique, dont get rid of it.

QR isn't, fuck that one right off plz.

They've gotten rid of Eastern Creek, which is the world's worst track by far. One track I'll miss is Oran Park. It has produced some moments that we'll never forget (Morris and the burning car) and is also a very challenging track and produces some excellent races. Won't miss Creek though.
