ITV4 is showing the first F4 race later too, I hope that series dies on its arse and they all come and run FFords...

Better off doing FF, better crowds and telly coverage.

Or have FFord die and bring F4 onto the TOCA bill...

Not likely, F4 is cheaper.

Tradition, history, better looking cars and not massaging Palmer's ego means NOTHING to you kids does it, bah.

And when Berger brings in his own FIA F4 next year?

Whole thing's a mess....

Good move for second.

Bet F4 isn't gonna be as good as that, even with 20 cars and editing in its favour.

Cammish must be about 5 years older than most FFord drivers, I remember him driving like a dick a good few years ago now...

I thought you hated the new FFord car?

Berger's series will completely cannibalise Palmer's as it will have drivers who might actually make it further up the ladder.

Cammish is about the same age as Vettel.

I hate the idea they had to add wings on it just to trick the racing dads to spend their money because somehow without it FFord wouldn't be relevant (I'd question how much they were doing at that speed anyway)

Car still looks good and better than the F4 car....it's all relative.

I don't think so, I think Berger wants there to be national series at the very first step post-karting. But there will be links to European F3 or F3 Open. Maybe a guaranteed drive for the winners or funding like FILS.

Basing your Formula on Indy Lights is definitely a recipe for success!

I think Berger needs to look further up the ladder. GP2 gets stifled now because the guys stick around for so long and we end up with a talent logjam - but of course GP2 is not FIA sanctioned. We don't need more series, we need the average drivers forced out.

Look at GP3 this year - there's a heap of talented chaps in there, but how higher will they go because of funding?

Need to help the talented drivers find funding.

Well, 5 of the last 6 champions went straight to the big series, so they must be doing something right.

I think the problem is higher up than that....all these series, all these hundreds of drivers, are aiming at just 22 F1 seats (And probably 20 if Bernie gets his way)

When people ask what the small teams do for F1, it's that. It lets Talent audition In F1 machinery, the more seats you have in F1, the more chances you have to discover the next Alonso and Vettel etc.

In B4 Paydriver argument. Pay drivers have been in the sport when we've had 30 cars and when we've had 18.....no matter the number there is always pay drivers so the more cars the more chance there is for non-paydrivers to get a shot too.
