A lot of the current circuits dont have enough garages as it is. Croft is one.

Garages aren't a necessity as long as the paddock is close by.

Another potential (and well funded) entry for 2014 is United Autosports (who currently race Brit GT's). They would compete in something like a Civic or MG before building their own NGTC for 2015.

A Volvo may also make an appearance next year too by the sounds of it, meaning we could be have even more variety on the grid in 2014, than 2013.

I have such a soft spot for Volvo, no-one would want this to happen more than me...

Oh how I'd love the Volvo to be Tom's new car rebuilt to the NGTC regulations.

As it turns out, it looks like they will buy Dynojet, as they appear to be struggling financially and because of that 'other thing' we can't really go into.

Well Dynojet was built around Wrathall and if he happens to head off to "voluntary hiatus"for reasons we cannot discuss then I suppose it makes sense to sell off the team.

Do United Autosports have a link with Mark Blundell?

Other than the fact he's driven their GTs a few times, not really. The team was originally a joint linkup between Zak Brown (rich as hell business type guy and Rob Austin-alike) and Richard Dean. Aside from McLaren and Audi GT programs they've done a lot of historic F1 prep for Brown.

Looks like Mercedes will be on the grid in 2014 with a 'current team' building the cars.

Sounds like the sort of mad project HARD or AMD might take on.

I do know that Aaron Steel's team are in the process of building a CClass NGTC car, but this is someone different.

Considering the increased speculation surrounding more manufacturers being represented in 2014, I thought I'd do a small chart on the manufacturers represented on the BTCC grid (includes BTC, S2000 and NGTC only) from the start of 2001 onwards:

2001 - Vauxhall, Peugeot, Alfa Romeo, Lexus, MG (5)
2002 - Vauxhall, Peugeot, MG, Honda, Proton (5)
2003 - Vauxhall, Peugeot, MG, Honda, Proton (5)
2004 - Vauxhall, Peugeot, MG, Honda, Proton, Seat, BMW (7)
2005 - Vauxhall, MG, Honda, Seat, Lexus (5)
2006 - Vauxhall, Peugeot, MG, Honda, Seat, Lexus, Alfa Romeo, BMW (8)
2007 - Vauxhall, MG, Honda, Seat, Lexus, Alfa Romeo, BMW (7)
2008 - Vauxhall, MG, Honda, Seat, Lexus, BMW, Chevrolet (7)
2009 - Vauxhall, Honda, Seat, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford (6)
2010 - Vauxhall, Honda, Seat, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Volkswagen (7)
2011 - Vauxhall, Honda, Seat, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Volkswagen, Toyota, Audi, Proton (10)
2012 - Vauxhall, MG, Honda, BMW, Ford, Volkswagen, Toyota, Audi, Proton (9)
2013 - Vauxhall, MG, Honda, Seat, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Volkswagen, Toyota, Audi, Proton (11)
2014 - Vauxhall, MG, Honda, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Volkswagen, Toyota, Audi, Proton, Renault, Volvo, Mercedes, Kia, Skoda (15?)**

**2014 all potentials

Kia and Skoda should also be added to that list.

And there may be another couple of ones on TOP of those.
