Something that is also interesting is that there is 'a lot of interest from overseas in the championship'.

It could be linked to this chap:

I approve. The series needs a few international stars, Johan is top of the wanted list at the moment. DTM, Supercup and WTCC wouldn't be good career moves for him.

Please let is look like that. It's stunning. The article also states that it will be 2 Passats, 2 Insignia's and a S2000 Honda Civic next year to be run under Team Hard and the Team ELA banner.

Liking the trend back to bigger saloons since the NGTC rules have been introduced.

I don't see that being very successful. Converted road cars are rarely competitive.

What other cars have been converted road cars?

Ones off the top of my head are the Protons from 02-04, The VLN 307's and I'm sure Thorney's Insignia's were road cars. There are others too.

Well one of those isn't right. The headlights are different on each car. Body panel lines are the same.

One is a render of the new shape and the other the old shape, hence the headlight difference

Oh I just hope that Gilham isn't trying to stretch himself too far. I'm finding it hard to believe that in just two seasons he's gone from struggling to secure budget for a full season to attempting to run "up to" 6 cars in the championship.

Hell, if Gilham only runs two cars I'll be happy.

Remember he's got some major sponsorship now, so actually he is now a really well funded outfit

Fair point, but where is this funding coming from?

This ELA company - which is something to do with finance and accountancy - is providing a lot of financial support to the team so much so that it seems like he already has the 2013 budget done and anything that his drivers bring is extra. He is also talking about a young drivers program as well.

Well here's hoping ELA isn't fronted by either or both of Jerry Mahoney and Vic Lee.

Can someone change the thread title to "30 car grid-all Gilham's" or something, the one now is giving me a frickin' heart attack every time I see it! 8O

Colin Turkington's website went live a few days ago with a prominent BMW logo and a WSR BMW on the front. Could Turks be returning in a WSR BM?

Another BTCC possibility:

http://www.thecheckeredflag.co.uk/2012/12/stepping-up-hawken-eyes-british-touring-car-graduation/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheCheckeredFlag+%28The+Checkered+Flag%29

Actually seems like a decent driver.

And by my count I think the number of drivers that are rumored to be entering next year is 40,000 and not all of them are gentleman drivers, we seem to have a ton of young drivers possibly coming into the series next year.
