latest rumours are that he deliberately tried to blow the engine by overrevving, something they noticed in the telemetry after the race. I guess he's not racing anymore this season. |

'People familiar with the situation told Motorsport.com that, after the first start of the Styrian Grand Prix, Maverick came into the pits and said that the engine was working fine, not to touch it. However, they changed the clutch and the engineers connected the computer, touching the engine, which stopped on the grid before the warm-up lap of the second start, forcing the Spaniard to start from the pit lane.' Sounds like sabotage. Either Maverick was raged about that or team really wants to get rid of him. |

What an odd fiasco Yamaha have. One rider leading the championship, the other leading the fail train. Deliberately sabotage the bike to what end? Make Mav just walk away now instead of seasons end? Maybe they didn't sabotage it, but they did touch it so Mav decided to go vindictive and blow the damn thing up? Does Aprilia really want this drama? Vinales isn't good enough to put up with this kind of trash. |
