They did show him sitting up with the medics. How he could I have no idea, that was a horrible accident.

The accident didn't look to bad it was the back of the head-first hit into that step out in the concrete wall that was the nasty bit.

The stupid thing is these things are so easily avoidable with a bit of common sense.

I meant the initial falling off part before he hit the wall, and bikes are designed to do that, it dissipates energy :p

It's already uploaded, but it skips to the restart.
I wouldn't be surprised if the director thought it was too violent to be shown (also the way they cut off the scene implies they thought the crash was mortal at first). Still annoying if footage really exists but wasn't shown.

That's from the Italian coverage. It was uninterrupted during the whole red flag period. Eurosport showed the race delayed, so they might have cut what was in between.
