Moto2 was fun to watch, but MotoGP was only good for Bradl

Bit of a bold move Bradl pulled on Hayden. Didn't like it when I saw, but I'm biased, so I give it a pass.

I didn't think it was that bad a move, it was the last laps after all. It was just unfortunate that Nicky lost out after such a decent race for him. Stoner's move was a little clumsy by comparison.

Barbera out with a broken leg for up to 6 weeks.

Is it me or do the injuries happen more often in the MotoGP nowadays? Seemingly every year at least couple of riders break their limbs along the way...

I think it is just you, but maybe that is because of a better safety record through the past few seasons (obvious accidents aside). However this was an injury during a training session, not on track.

When I first started following 500's, etc... in the nineties, riders were often falling and getting injured. Plus if you look back over the past 10 years you'll see quite a few riders were getting injuries. For instance Sete Gibernau's retirement was forced upon him thanks to successive reoccurant injuries through 2006. Let's not forget Lorenzo's injury ridden debut season in 2007. Then there's Dani Pedrosa's on / off injuries which he's suffered since joining MotoGP in 2006.

Ben Spies has confirmed he will not be part of works Yamaha's plans in MotoGP for 2013. Can't say I'm surprised.

He should go to SBK for a year and wait for the return of Suzuki in 2014. I thought he and Suzuki had a good relationship in the past.

Spies does and I believe that dates back to his days in AMA.

He also drove some 2008 races for them.

Bradl as a replacement sounds good, but Dovioso is kinda showing some good results on the Yamaha (although he has proven at Honda he isn't top class) should be a decent second driver.
