Not one crash by the way, two separate incidents. Marquez is apparently fine, Smith is having a left arm injury checked.

Lorenzo with a Vettel, just goes out there and smashes the best lap of the weekend

2nd time round he smashes the pole position record

Pedrosa then does a Senna and steals the pole at the death, Dovi on the front row as well :)

Impressive job by Crutchlow to crash out and then go faster on the backup bike with minutes to spare. That's what makes these guys special.

Seems plausible, it's a long-ass straight, these bikes weigh nothing and have none of the drag of an F1 car ... speeds have always been over 200, even with the 800s so with an extra 200cc ...

Well the 990s used to accelerate to over 200mph very easily so this speed at Mugello doesn't surprise me.
