Five Ducatis & Binder in Top 6 at half-distance. Vinales blew an engine.

And Binder crashed out. 8 Ducatis in Top 10. At Sachsenring which was their bogey track for years due to lack of high-speed layout.

that was quite a display, proof that this season only a Ducati can beat a Ducati

Tell Honda and Yamaha to build a bike that isn't garbage. KTM is 2nd best, but not quite the caliber of Ducati.

Why is Ducati so good? Engine? Chassis? The Japanese bikes don't seem to have the power the Ducati and KTM does, but I don't understand why they can't build a comparable bike. They have all the resources but can't find an answer.

Honda have a real problem when even Marquez can´t control the bike anymore.

Good point. I'd think Fabio is decent enough at this. One would believe Rins and Marquez are better than average. Of course Rins is sidelined and Marquez has been on the floor more than the bike the last few seasons.

Still, you'd think the engineers would have enough data to know where the deficiency in the bikes are and be able to build something decent. Marquez having to push like every lap is a qualifying lap just to be top 5 at a track he OWNED is quite telling as to the plight of at least Honda.

Yamaha is just flat out lost it appears.

Honda has Marquez on their side but he needs a bike where he can be on the edge.

are they limited on testing like F1? Things like that can hurt a lot manufacturers, and since Ducati has good satelite teams they have a way better development

Ducati has a better partner program and doesn't seem afraid of the partner teams beating the factory team, which they have often done in recent years. Had the Japanese manufacturers been more open to this approach, VR46 might have ended up with them rather than Ducati.

Bastianini beat Bagnaia a couple of times last year, and Ducati were not always very happy with that. In the end, it didn´t matter because he took the title, but if they had lost the title to Yamaha, this year team orders would have been stricter.

None of that matters now because the title, 2nd and 3rd place are going to Ducati so let them fight.

Really seems like dirty air is becoming a major issue in MotoGP. 2nd through 5th were in a pack the last 3rd of that race but nobody could get close enough to make a move.

Jeez, the Rookies Cup race was absolutely insane. Brilliant stuff. Angel Piqureas clinched the title with four races to go.
