Double long lap penalty for MM93 has been sanctioned. Also Jorge Martin suffered a broken toe in the incident. Meanwhile Aleix Espargaro wanted a one-race ban for Marquez.

Apparently Marquez' penalty specifically says it's to be served in Argentina, which is he going to miss because of his thumb. So he got away with it (in a sporting sense).

pretty much like football when a player gets a red or 3 yellow cards

unless is a very serious offence, then the penalty could be applied even to a further season

Is he officially out of Argentina? I thought only Bastianini and Espargaro were confirmed out?

EDIT: Damnit... Surgery on his thumb so he is out. I wanted him to have the indignity of having to do a double long lap.

Still wet for Moto2. Track will never be dry when MotoGP starts.
