This is the best I can do, saved this from the old crashin.nu forum before it was blasted into oblivion by the jensk. jhendy300 wrote: I was working with the crew of the 86 car at the time Christian Elder had his bad crash at Chicago. There were all sorts of rumors going on that his right front wasn't tightened all the way on purpose due to him not taking Larry Foyt out of races in the previous season. Andy Kirby was suppose to be in the 14 in 2001 but obviously he wasn't, due to Foyt money. Someone close to the 14 team found out about this plot to make Larry Foyt look bad and threatened both drivers. Kirby "mysteriously" was killed in a motorcycle "wreck" around the time Elder had his big accident. Elder got hooked on drugs and Foyt retired from racing so he can lay low and focus his business saviness on agriculture investments. Hope this helps.
