So, with these heat races in Xfinity, what happens if someone crashes in their heat race beyond repair? Are they allowed to race in the main with a back up?

And since there are 42 cars entered, say if Daniel Suarez or Erik Jones blow up on lap 1 of their heat and finish 21st, do they DNQ for the main?

I thought I saw somewhere that backups aren't allowed but I could be wrong

Where have you been? The Dash for Cash races have heat races this year.

It's easy to miss bullshit under all the bullshit that comes from NASCAR these days.

Kyle wins 6 races in a row across 3 series!

He should enter the K&N race to make it 7.

Now that such a streak exists, I'm pulling to keep it going. I always do.

inb4 commentators say something about a sweep at Bristol the billionth time this weekend or in August (even though he doesn't attempt all of the races ran during the week)

I am only going to watch the Xfinity race because of the format. That's it.

I know, right? The only good thing about it for me is a shorter 'main' race distance, which at 200 laps is perfect for a lower tier series and all I'd care to watch if I watched NXS. Qualifying races are only worth watching when there's something real on the line like in Global Rallycross, not just starting positions and one or two s&p spots.

So you don't watch the Duels at Daytona? Because this is exactly what those are.

Wait, what's the dash for cash?

Nah just kidding, I know what that is hehe but as Gaara says, it's easy to miss bullshit from NASCAR...

I figured most people would hang on to and run with something that actually didn't sound like typical NASCAR BS

Used to but not anymore. Last time I remember being excited about the duels was 2007 when Mikey's teams and Wahd Buhton had to race their way in.

Well, one of my questions was answered by Jayski. Two cars go home before the heats, so 20 cars will start each heat.

Lol. Even a co-worker who is a diehard race fan like myself didn't realize there were heat races this weekend.

2013 Daytona Battle at the Beach was live on FS2 along with the non points Modified race, FansChoice live streamed a Kern race a few years back too
