I went to DEGA in 2005, 2011 and 2012.

So in honor of those races...

Probably the most scared I've ever been seeing an accident in person, minus Larson at Daytona.

Amateur video from the 2012 finish. :8:

As a Kenseth fan, 2012 was probably my favorite finish.. just seeing your driver sneak away while everyone else piles in to the wreck, it was a good feeling.

Kinda surprised no one came up with Underdogefan earlier. Entry lists posted...good news, guarnteed good truck race Milka entered and NO KRYLE. No Timmy Hill this, very disappointed in this.

I have personally made the request to the admins.

And when I say "personally made the request," I mean "personally made an ass out of myself as I begged and pleaded."

---

I think emergency actions are being taken in Talladega right now. With Milka in the entry list for the truck race, I think shelters are being prepared to keep everyone away from the potential devastation.

I was gonna make an Ebola joke out of this, but then I realized that Duno is slower than the virus.

It IS a fantastic feeling. Had it in person at Pocono in 2012. Pretty wild!

My first memory of Talladega is from 1997.

I started watching the sport casually in '95, but missed both Dega races that year. Then came '96, and TSN wasn't too keen on showing races live - the spring race was shown at midnight, and the fall race was delayed by rain enough that I missed everything live and as it happened.

The spring '97 race was delayed by rain over and over again, and ended up happening in the middle of the week while I was at school. I remember walking up to the principal\secretary's office to get updates on the race.

Finally, the first DEGA race I saw in person was intense. It was at my grandmother's apartment, and for some reason the signal kept cutting out. Late in the race, it froze for about 5 minutes - the race was intense as hell, so this drove me nuts. The signal finally came back in time for a commercial break, and when they came back, this had just happened.

Needless to say, my heart sank. It turned out Gordon's LR tire went down in the middle of the straightaway.

The finish of the race was pretty good, and although I wanted Ken Schrader to win pretty bad, it was still quite memorable to have Terry win it.
