I'm guessing nobody. Given the circumstances, it would be in poor taste to have that car running tomorrow.

This is probably the right course of action.

If Gene Haas doesn't withdraw the car, my best guess would be Regan Smith.

The stream was supposed to go live a few minutes ago but the Canandaigua FB page just posted this
Quote:
Canandaigua Motorspots Park will not have an official statement on the accident that happened in the ESS race until tomorrow.
Please pray for the entire racing community of fans, drivers, and families. Please be respectful in any comments.

Doesn't mean the authorities won't be making a statement.

Just saw this on the Dirt Track Racing 2 facebook page

Quote:
From someone I know who was at the track:
(He thinks the guy is deceased)
Wasn't Tonys fault. Everybody's yappin. That guy got out and walked out yelling at tony and honestly I think tony missed him and Jessica zempkin hit him.
But she left quick and tony got the blame

I don't see how any of Tony's cars can be run tomorrow in good taste....sponsor $$ will probably at least keep Danica and Harvick in but, I'm at a loss right now, history making moment (in the worst way) as we speak.

There's no way the other SHR cars park or should be parked.

Yeah, it is stupid, but guys have done it quite a bit without getting run over.

One witness said he had taken his helmet off, but was wearing a dark firesuit, so it was probably hard to see him.

Tony probably tried to roost the kid with dirt and clipped him with the RR. There is no way he meant to run him over, I feel like it was unintentional. Nonetheless he will have to face the consequences.

Not really sure what to expect from the police statement. There certainly won't be anything definitive.
