NASCAR now makes a trip to the reprofiled and repaved Kansas Speedway for the 6th race of the Chase. The banking of the track has been increased to 17-20 in both turns, 10-11 on the front stretch and 5 on the back. Will the new track create exciting racing that the old track was starting to create or will it be a single file bottom fest.

NNS also races this weekend, along with the ARCA season race under the lights.

FYI, this is also the season finale for the ARCA Series.

Chris Buescher can clinch the championship with 12th place or better. Frank Kimmel (-85) and Brennan Poole (-175) are the only drivers with a mathematical shot at the title.

Can't go around having grass-related flipperz and fatalz, now can we?

I suppose not. Just way too many airbornz on this 1.5 tracks these days.

Hopefully he does something useful and takes out Kimmel.

You can see the marks on the T1 wall from Jr's testing crash in the first vid.

When I watched the video, the first thing that popped into my head: "Oh. It's Las Vegas."

Biffle was fastest today in the first open test session at 184.900. A handful of teams ran some laps in the 2013 cars too. More testing tomorrow along with Nationwide practice.

The track record is 180.856.

Apparently Denny crashed in T1 during the test somewhat like Jr did and spent some time being evaluated at the care center.

I'm sure it wont take long for the concussion rumors to start.

They already have... Though I doubt he will get parked.

Question... Assuming everything was the same (crashes and concussions), if Jr. was 2nd in the points do you still think he'd have sat down for 2 races?

No way he sits. I know I wouldn't.

They probably took a while to make sure they didn't miss anything.

"It was the first time I really had some dizziness after a hit," said Hamlin, who compared it to a 2008 wreck at Talladega that ended with a trip to the hospital and a mild concussion. "Usually I'm sore or your jaw hurts from clenching your jaw. This is the first time I really got dizzy."

Saw this on thatsracin.com. Kinda surprised that Hamlin said that much. If I didn't have a concussion, I wouldn't even go there because now everyone is going to wonder.

Apparently Kyle Busch wrecked his primary car in Nationwide practice too.
