White rims and massive amounts of brake dust are not a good combo

The Ford and the Chevy just look great in any livery.

I like the look of the new cars. Are they likely to be better for racing and less aero dependent?

I know some drivers who have tested the cars have said that they might be better for racing but I don't know if we'll know for sure until we get 43 cars on the track at once. The test sessions so far have only included a handful of cars.

Along with more distinct manufacturer identity, one of the intents of this new body style is to make them better in dirty air. Like you said, it's too early to know if it works but it's important to mention that it is the goal.

I think it's been mentioned here as well, but another major goal is to reduce the weight (I've read that they want to cut at least 100 pounds) so they can run softer tires. That should also make the racing better.

I really like that all yellow #22 car.

I think Ty Dillon's truck is a downgrade over last year's paint scheme. The addition of the orange and more camo doesn't work for me.

and... Matt Kenseth Dollar General:

Clearly someone decided at the last second they wanted Home Depot orange on the 2012 design. [facepalm]

My God. That Home Depot orange rear end has to be one of the worst ideas ever.

I think in Danica's case they should really keep the rookie stripe on another year...

Guess this means they'll slap Dollar General yellow on the back of Matt's Home Depot scheme.

Honestly I liked the Dollar General scheme this year. Now its just a good paint scheme... ruined.

I do sincerely hope they have a rethink of it before speedweeks, but other than in some very rare circumstances, that hasn't happened a lot of late. In any case painters, take a good long look at it, because that is pretty much lesson one on how NOT to make a color gradient.

I love how they did it, cause I don't particularly care for Kenseth.
