The Chase now moves from the biggest track to the smallest for a 500 lap race and the 4th to last race of the Chase and the only short track. Johnson and Hamlin have dominated here in the past but their Chases seem to be over.

Edwards (aka a Horse) leads the championship despite only winning a single race at Las Vegas. Kenseth, Keselowski and Stewart are within 20 points.

NNS has another week off (they should race here) before the final 3 Buschwhacker walkover races.

Ahh Martinsville, the only event NASCAR hasn't yet figured out how to fuck up.

Looking at the entry list, there are two 77 cars entered right now, both Robby Gordon and Andy Lally. When I said that on twitter on Monday, Lally himself actually did tell me:

byGordon we won't be in a 77

So not sure if the entry list is faulty or not, but if indeed both of them are in a 77 and both qualify, the one higher in points gets to run that number and the other has to pick another, so in this case Robby would keep the 77 and Lally would have to pick something else.

EDIT - TRG has withdrawn the 77 to focus on getting the 71 back in the top 35. However Hermie Sadler is staying as the driver with Lally sitting out this weekend. Not sure if thats the best way to get you back in the top 35 TRG...

If they're gonna put Hermie in a race I'd say Martinsville would be his best track. The Cup race will certainly be different, but he's had some good runs in the truck races there.

Fuck yeah short tracks and unique tracks. Hell, I would watch a series that had only those tracks on its schedule.

Qualifying has been rained out, so we have to use practice speeds as our qualifying results.

Problem is that practice was a washout, too, so order has been determined by points standings.

Biffle and Harvick were fighting in practice. Biffle even ran into Harvick's car back in the infield.

Michael McDowell fastest in practice.

By the time they were able to actually speak about it face to face it seemed they had calmed down. Seemed like there was more tension among the people surrounding them than the drivers themselves.

I thought the thing in the infield was on Harvick, not Biffle, but I'd have to see it again.

Just re-watched, I think garage thing was on Harvick. He kept his car just to the side of Biffles, and as Biffle turned into his garage stall, Harvick braked.

So I guess Harvick is doing his best to reduce the Christmas Card bill this year again then?

Papis turns Crafton. Great race so far.

Nice donut by Crafton to only lose 8 spots in the spin and props to Nascar for not throwing a caution for that.

Cueball just dumped his teammate it looks like. Papis was 4th.
