It's off to Richmond, the final race to decide who makes it into the Chase. Time to run down the obligatory clinching scenarios...
- With the top 8 locked in, that leaves Dale Earnhardt Jr (9th) and Tony Stewart (10th) needing to race their way in. A finish of 20th and 18th respectively will lock them into the Chase.

- Brad Keselowski has at least a wild card spot clinched with 3 wins, but finishing top-10 in points could prove a lot more beneficial to his championship hopes. In the past few seasons, when points are reset, the Chase drivers receive bonus points for each win in the previous 26 races (in this year's case, 3 points for each victory). Per the new rule, only those in the top-10 receive those bonus points, the two wild cards get nothing. In Brad's case, that's a 9 to 12-point gain/loss (depending on if he wins the race) and the difference between sitting in 11th or being tied for the championship lead at the end of the night.

- Everything behind that is still fair game. If we use the points as they stand as an example, should Brad get in the top-10, Denny Hamlin (currently 12th, 1 win) and Paul Menard (currently 20th, 1 win) would make it in the Chase. Otherwise, only Hamlin gets in. That's all entirely depending on many other plausibe and/or inplausible outcomes:
-- Above scenario occurs, except Marcos Ambrose overtakes Menard in the top-20, putting him in the wild card.
-- Above scenario occurs, except both Menard and Ambrose stay out of the top-20, leaving the highest remaining guy without a win to take a wild card spot.
-- Brad stays out of the top-10, Menard wins the race (lol), automatically locking him in with 2 wins over Hamlin's 1, throwing Starlancer into a fit in the process. This goes for Ambrose as well.
-- Hamlin has a shit night and anyone ahead of Menard wins a race AND overtakes him in the standings.

- Does this make sense to you? If not, blame Brian France.
Hamlin has to be the favorite for this one, he needs that win and this is one of his best tracks. Either him or Johnson will win it.

Yeah, I'd hit her from behind.

With a metal baseball bat. To the head.

Yeah, I'd hit her from behind.

With a metal baseball bat. To the head.

That goes for the whole Jersey Shore cast.
