I was surprised to see 50 cars entered for the Nationwide Race. I didn't think Casey Roderick was going to make his Nationwide Debut on a road course. I figured he would debut on an oval since that is where he has more experience. I can see a handful of "start and park" cars withdrawing since they have a full field. It's a shame that Marcos Ambrose isn't racing Watkins Glen but I read that he will be running in Montreal in a Stanley Tools Ford for Richard Petty Motorsports. Should be an interesting weekend of races coming up. |

No race this year, the old Busch North Series is now the K&N Pro East Series and 2009 was the last year they raced at the Glen. They switched the name to the East Series in 2006 when they started adding races that were not in the Northeast and they have gradually been adding more races in the Southeast year after year. This season only 3 out of 12 events are in the NE. |

I went to Lime Rock every year since it was 15 mins up the road. Bring Lime Rock back damn it! |

I like the direction the K&N Pro Series East is going in now, but it is a shame it has to be at the expense of some of the northern tracks. The real tragedy is that the Modifieds no longer go to Martinsville. And it's kind of ridiculous that Thompson has a North/South combination race for the Mods. |

If NASCAR was smart, they could have added a Grand National Southeast division when USAR started to falter financially, instead of ripping the GN North tour to shreds. I think ACT and PASS have welcomed the teams/tracks that traditionally would have moved up to GN competition with open arms. |
