How could the Truck race be so good, and the Nationwide and Cup races be so awful?

JJ thought they were coming to the white flag when they were actually coming to the checkers apparently lol.

Pretty much. It was godawful in dirty air. NASCAR won't fix it 2013, hopefully.

Ya at one point this confused the announcers too, they said 3 laps to go and then suddenly it was 2 and white flag...

About the only point of interest in this race :(

Really disappointed. Waited so long for the Cup date...and this is what happens. Plus the huge black eye seems to be the traffic debacle.

I feel like the tire selection was very problematic. Not even close to enough drop-off to produce a good race. Gas only stops at a 1.5-mile track? Ugh..

On another note, it was great to see the Reutimann do well. Would have loved to see him win over Busch. I think he could have done something if they had another lap or two.

Didn't watch tonight's race, had to work.

Read about the traffic details. You'd think they'd fucking learn after having the track opened 10 years. I went to that first race. I have relatives who live a half hour from the track in Independence,KY. I stayed at their place for the first truck race back in 2000, and what was normally a 30 minute drive took five hours. I left at 2:30 in the afternoon, and didn't get to the track until damn near 7:30. Parking was a mess back then, too. I ended up down by the onramp to I-71, and had to walk back to the track.

Since that race, they've got a 3rd lane on I-71 in both directions away from the track for a couple of miles, but they really need to do better than that. If I'd actually gone to this race I'd probably taken some backroads instead of the interstate.

Maybe if Bruton keeps bitching they'll upgrade the interstate.
