I have a choice between going home to watch the race or going salt water fishing, how's the race?

It's not terrible, but it's not like there won't be re-airs or torrents of it later.

Also, if FOX/ESPN take two things from TNT and copy them, let it be Racebuddy and the on-boards mounted on the halo, looking at the driver/out the windshield.

With the bumps in this track, late race restarts could be fun....

Agree on both counts. Those onboards are especially cool.

I like the onboards, too... but this is a horrible, horrible race.

The truck race was pretty good, but that's been it so far this weekend.

I wonder how different the Cup races would be if certain drivers didn't have a fuckload of track time in NNS and Trucks by the time the Cup race came around.

Amazing how bad things get when we get a 100+ lap green flag run.

I understand the impact to the community, but I'd like to see the Kentucky legislature tell Bruton Smith and NASCAR to piss up a rope over asking for public funds to improve traffic flow.
EDIT: It shouldn't be SMI/NASCAR's responsibility to expand I-71 and the roads around the facility, but SMI/NASCAR shouldn't be allowed to get away without planning for this, either.

Indeed. NASCAR asking anyone for money is a joke, let alone public funds that probably have plenty of other good uses.

I understand there would be public good from expanded capacity on I-71/75, and I understand it would be similar to asking for public funds in helping to build a new sports stadium.

That being said, a lack of planning on SMI/NASCAR's fault shouldn't constitute an emergency on KY's. The way they've gone about getting to that point stinks.
