Since the circus is coming to my backyard literally this week, felt it was my duty to start the thread.

Trucks on Saturday night, Cup on Sunday afternoon.

As is always the case whether we have this spring race on concrete or dirt, or whether it's in March or April, rain is in the forecast for Sunday.

I'll be at the track all weekend, so hoping it's at least dry AND warm for once.

Christian Eckes held off Kyle Busch to win the truck race.

Ryan Blaney and Josh Berry are on the front row for the cup race.

This tire seems to be creating something the Cup series has been desperate for in recent years: heavy tire wear and a big delta between corner and straightaway speeds.

They're gonna run out of tyres at this rate. That'll make things interesting.

Kinda nice to have a little chaos in a race that isn't stupid crashing.

This is bizarre. The degradation is absolutely off the charts.

Looks like the Nascar iRacing Series, with the damaged cars limping around and staying on the way.

Hamlin may have blown the tyre, but he must have a smile below the helmet. He was asking for tyre wear for a long long time.

This finally feels like the racing they envisioned when they put progressive banking here.

So they have just made Bristol effectively another restrictor plate track, the cars are slow as shit and no one can pass.

That really doen'st feel like a reason for a caution. But in the long run, what the strategy will be now? How many tire sets do they have? This can become very crazy with mixed tires strategies.

They can pass at will in that scenario. Everyone was just being super careful with the tires.
