looks like there's some shenanigans going on involving torque arms in the Big Block Modified scene.

XR Super Series now scheduled to race at Kokomo & North Wilkesboro

no press release has been posted; but it appears North Wilkesboro's schedule has changed again for both asphalt & dirt slates. All races are now slated for a 7pm start time; thus meaning lights/night racing during the asphalt slate as well? Notably removed from the schedule includes Winged 410 Sprint Cars (both asphalt + dirt), and Big Block Modifieds (dirt).

JR Motorsports tested a Late Model Stock Car at North Wilkesboro earlier today - with Berry, Jr and Kvapil all making laps.

MavTV Plus continues to deal with issues with their streaming service. Tonight's races at Charleston for POWRi are being streamed for free; unclear how things stand for this weekend's Lucas Oil LM races at Lernerville or the rest of POWRi Illinois SPEEDweek

heard one rumor a few months back about Mods but didn't think anything of it. Hope they upgrade the safety infrastructure of the place because it's a stupid fast joint (I think that Martinsville clone measurement number is on the inside yellow line)

Bowman Gray went off the rails (again) on a couple occasions last night. In other news, water is wet

I recently got Flo finally and was finally watching Bowman last night and what a poop show. Seems to put butts in the seats though.

when it gets stupid, it gets really bad there. Neither the local crew (or) NASCAR gives a shit on doing anything either. It wouldn't be surprising to me at all if either incidents (Bowman Gray w/ Wall & Gregg (or) Loudon w/ Keselowski & A. Dillon) have no penalties this week.

racing wise it's gotten way worse this year with the terrible repave. In past you'd at least have a chance for some passes on the outside (especially if you pinched them into the ditch where the concrete curbs are now). Now you pretty much have to dump the car ahead to pass, partly because the track is littered with bumps everywhere - especially on the higher grooves (they added drainage pipes under the track and it never settled well at all)

The potential for mayhem does bring in a chunk of the crowd - but what some people forget is that the place always promotes very well, it's priced very cheap ($12 tickets / no parking fees, only thing that's a bit high is concessions - which are controlled by the city itself) & they always start on time / keeps the program moving.

Big flip and shenanigans last night in the Shaffer's Southern Nationals dirt late model race at I-75:

Being from the area this series runs a lot of races in and knowing some of the drivers pretty well, McCarter is a douche. What this video doesn't show is McCarter had run Winger over the berm 4 or 5 times prior to finally finishing him off. A lot of the comments are critical of the track and having no walls, but McCarter is a very dirty driver plain and simple. He tried the same stuff with Kyle Strickler last year at Tazewell and got dumped himself for his troubles.

I seen this last night, that whole deal was just stupid. Track is fine other than they run stupid late & have a billion classes on the regular

-

Husets had their first big Super Late Model show in a while with the Lucas series, pretty good race I thought for a track that normally runs 410's and street stocks on the regular (highlights)

-

Nick Wall has been suspended by NASCAR for 2 weeks following Saturday's incident in the Street Stock feature at Bowman Gray

Huset's was a great race! Watching RTJ banging the boards was awesome. Think he finally hit it one too many times though. Not sure where he wound up finishing. I'm just glad I-75 was rain delayed so I could watch both.

Couple of notes from I-75:
--McCarter thought he was told to go to the rear which is why he parked. He was NOT parked by the series officials or told to even go to the back
--Gary Winger (Ashton's dad) and another of Winger's crew have been banned from the next two Shaffer's races that they decide to attempt
--Ashton is on probation for the remainder of the tour
--McCarter or any of his crew for that matter were not handed down any penalties (which is ludicrous)

I assume since McCarter only declared for the Tennessee races on the tour, they didn't see any reason to penalize him, though there are still some races left in Tennessee on the schedule.
