All I see is two douchenozzles having a slapfight on socials.

Denny's right, tho. Even then, the real reason why the track broke up is because of the constant bad weather NorCal has experienced in the recent months. Also, the GT3 cars are far grippier than the Cup cars.

If anything, people should point the finger at the contractor responsible for the botched repave job.

NASCAR has announced the format for the All-Star race including one interesting twist, two different tire options.

I'm interested to see how the two tire options are going to play out.

I get the sponsor connection, but seeing that on a Ford just isn't right, especially with Yotas in the field.

I like it. Maybe it should be on a Toyota but I like it. It's also kinda random.

For the record, it was a fan vote by RFK on Twitter between this, a Casey Atwood throwback, or a John Force throwback.

so the the Gran Turismo nostalgia was too strong here.

I would say JGTC, but that would imply that fans actually know what the hell that was.

Jeremy Clements just unveiled his Darlington throwback and it looks amazing. It's a throwback to Robert Pressley's #59 car that he raced in the Xfinity Series in the early 90's.

Quote:
According to reports, the NASCAR team co-owned by Tony Stewart and Gene Haas is doing much more than just selling a couple of its valuable charters – they are putting their entire racing operation and facility on the market.

Matt Weaver of Autoweek’s Motorsports reported that SHR’s “entire building and operation is said to be on the market as well” in addition to the team’s four NASCAR Cup Series charters.

Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports was the first to suggest SHR’s Kannapolis, North Carolina headquarters could be for sale. The sprawling campus currently houses two separate buildings – one dedicated to SHR’s NASCAR operation and another for its Formula 1 program with Haas F1 Team.

With Stewart-Haas Racing entering the final year of its manufacturing agreement with Ford in 2024, the team appears to have a lot of flexibility regarding its future plans. That could potentially include downsizing or even an outright sale of its racing assets and facilities.

The charter market in NASCAR has been red-hot, with teams actively seeking new charters to potentially expand operations. SHR’s four coveted Cup Series charters would likely attract significant interest and sale prices.

But Weaver’s report indicates SHR may be open to parting with much more than just its NASCAR team charters. If the entire facility is truly on the market, it raises questions about whether the operation would remain intact under new ownership or if it signals Stewart and Haas are prepared to exit racing altogether.

Fans and the industry are keeping a close watch on how this situation unfolds in the coming months. SHR’s four-car lineup of Josh Berry, Noah Gragson, Chase Briscoe and Ryan Preece could all be impacted depending on what decisions are ultimately made.

It feels like Haas and Stewart don't have an interest in NASCAR any more, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the whole operation sold.

Post subject:  Re: Random NASCAR Discussion

It's known that Tony Stewart is done with NASCAR and Gene Haas simply doesn't care, so selling the operation off to the highest bidder is what's likely to happen here.

Who would the bidders be though? NASCAR has made simply getting into the sport insanely expensive with the charter system, so I highly doubt there will be "significant interest and sale prices".

Michael Andretti is somebody who comes to mind. There have been rumblings of him getting into NASCAR for years.

Probably the wrong thread to ask this:

Would this have any implications regarding Haas' F1 operations? Would he leave NASCAR to commit more finances to the F1 team, or could it mean he's quitting motorsports altogether?
