So they needed as much practice time as possible on this new layout.... Makes sense then that of course it rained on Friday, washing away all the sessions for all 3 series today Cup has cancelled qualifying so they can do some car tuning in practice sessions tomorrow.....good luck everyone! |

All three qualifying sessions tomorrow replaced by practice. Forty minutes each for Xfinity/Trucks, fifty minutes for Cup. All three series are also running their SS engine packages <rolls eyes>, with Cup is running their big SS spoilers as well. |

Pretty sensible decision to cancel quali for additional practice time, surprisingly so for NASCAR. |

It was Chad Knaus who was fucking around with the rear window. Mikey got caught putting rocket fuel in his engines. |

the ironic thing with Roush is that they already produce a portion of the spec body parts to start with (basically anything that Five Star doesn't touch) - it appears Paramount wanted to do a Days of Thunder series for their streaming service; Tom Cruise said nah. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movie ... 235116830/ trout wrote: is it possible to have negative points? lol Mike Harmon's team started out about that way this year after the illegal Rockingham track day session last fall |

Geoff Bodine talks in detail about his 2000 Daytona wreck on Dale Jr.'s podcast. Unbelievable he survived. |

NASCAR has recently filed multiple trademarks for the American Speed Association (ASA). Speculation has ranged from simply buying the intellectual property/tape library, all the way to reviving it for a potential all-electric series. |

Speculation has ranged from simply buying the intellectual property/tape library, all the way to reviving it for a potential all-electric series. NASCAR quietly took ownership of ASA's intellectual property when the ASA member track program shut down in 2013/14. According to Michael McIntyre (commenting on nascarman's video); it is rumored that the TNN master tapes are currently stored at the NASCAR Hall of Fame - a reply to his comment claims that other folks grabbed the master tapes that were in ASA's Florida office. The TSN/CTV master tapes from the Canadian broadcasts are held by the Canadian Racing Hall of Fame & is uploaded on their YouTube NASCAR let the prior trademarks (that were originally under ownership by Racing Speed Associates LLC of Florida) run out on the following dates shortened wordmark #1 - December 2019 slogan #1 - July 2016 logo (ASA wordmark without racing text) - July 2016 slogan #2 - June 2020 shortened wordmark #2 - December 2019 NASCAR also filed a trademark for the former mid-2000's period logo on their own accord in July of 2016 and abandoned it in 2017 logo (ASA Racing) - May 2017 Racing Speed Associates retained ownership of this trademark however until it was abandoned. full wordmark - July 2016 --- with the efforts of a national touring series being formed for Asphalt Super Late Models by 2 separate groups (CRA/Bob Sargent & Spire & Ricky Brooks/SRL) - I presume NASCAR is simply restarting the trademarks for legal reasons / deterrent from folks trying to use the name without their licensing or approval |

So...remember that part where Brandon Brown found sponsorship by means of crypto? And by that, I don't mean Crypto.com, Coinbase, and the like...I mean a shitcoin based on a grift that he went from reluctantly accepting to shamelessly embracing in a couple of months? Only for that coin to crash hard twice after being found to be a pump-and-dump scheme? You know, that coin that NASCAR didn't approve for...surprise, surprise: being a scam? Well... |

Anyone else get the feeling that the Gen 7 at Dover could be wild and chaotic, kinda like the last few years of Dover as an asphalt track? I know it's mostly been quite tame in the Gen-6 era, but it's a brutal track by nature and the new cars are way less forgiving. |

Penske using a old DJR V8 Supercar for some road course testing for it's drivers - as it's pretty similar to the NextGen https://www.v8sleuth.com.au/spotted-mus ... kins-glen/ |
