Two days after racing in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, NASCAR driver Mike Harmon found himself being charged, again, by Rowan County Sheriff's detectives in an ongoing feud he's having with fellow driver and Camping World Truck Series team owner Jennifer Jo Cobb. On Sunday, Harmon was charged with obstruction of justice and released on $20,000 bond. Harmon is accused of stealing Cobb's race hauler. On Friday night he had his cell phone confiscated by deputies as they investigate the crime. Deputies are reportedly using his cell phone to track Harmon's GPS, text messages and phone calls. Another man, David Novak, is charged with conspiring to commit felony larceny and obstructing justice for admitting to deputies that he knew the location of the trailer but did not tell investigators. Novak is the former business partner of Cobb.

Ok from what I've gathered from the pits, her hauler was actually repoed. That actually has not been reported, but I assume NASCAR is trying to bury this story as much as possible. She just saw this as an opportunity to get out of her SEVEN FIGURE debt to him. Turns out the guy she's leasing it has the title. The title she saws she has is fabricated, and she says she's bringing that to court with her (perjury anyone?). The whole NASCAR trying to hide this story makes sense after Friday. Turns out one of Harmon's guys actually did sabotage her car in practice (he dropped a bolt into the carb when no one was looking). He turned himself in though, and afterwords NASCAR brought both Cobb and Harmon into the hauler and had a little pow-wow together. NASCAR told them the BS needs to stop NOW.

FYI, they tried small spoiler at intermediate tracks during preseason testing and it was worse than the current spoiler. Problem lies with the front end setups. Sucked down and sealed off looks cool but is worthless for racing as it's designed to work best only in clean air. In good ole days, you had nearly a foot of daylight under the front end and no matter how much traffic you were in, the car was a flying brick mainly dependent on tyres for grip, not downforce. Won't find one quote from back then about losing grip behind another car.

You know what grinds my gears the most about DJ in the Hall of Fame right now? There's another NASCAR champion/Daytona 500 winner who transitioned into a successful career in commentary at ESPN, not to mention being one of the nicest and most respected people to ever grace the track and our TV screens, yet still isn't in the HOF for some criminal reason. Here's a hint.... Spoiler: (Yes, I know he'll be in the Hall much sooner than later, but still.)

Justin Marks will race the #7 Tommy Baldwin car instead of Dave Blaney at Sonoma. Marks is a capable road racer imo

I still think that they should have inducted 15 the first class then 10 the next 5 years then 5-8 every year after that. That would be 65 people the first 6 years. Seems reasonable.
