I agree. She was very competitive in a number of races in a car that didn't have the backing of some of the cars she was competing with. I'd like to see what she can do in a full-time ride with sponsorship. I feel Johanna Long has the ability to run very well.

That's hardly Danica-exclusive. There's tons of driver and athlete photo shoots with inexplicably intense/serious facial expressions are featured.

I remember a couple of years ago ALL the Cup drivers pics used on TV we're like prison photos

I will say this about this, she has a 5 head.

Remember those animated Fox starting lineups in '01? Instead of the straight-up driver picture (why so serious??), they'd have the car rolling and swerving back and forth, and drivers were motioning #1, giving thumbs up, or whatever they thought was cool. They were fantastic, if only because a few of them were awkward and hilarious. It gave the drivers a bit of personality, unlike the always cool for the camera demeanor they're meant to show off now.

Underdogfan mentioned the prison-like photos, which reminded me of the polar-opposite of those starting grids.

My favourite driver profile/mugshot was Patrick Carpentier's Players Forsythe one from 2001.

He turned up to the media day with a full on Static-X style Nu Metal haircut and took a profile photo befitting this (can't remember if he tried some swagger pose or something) but between that and the start of the season I think someone had a word with him and most of the rest of the year he had a more reserved haircut and had the piss ripped out of him every time his profile pic showed up on TV

Sadly a quick google hasn't provided me with any pics of this but I will keep searching
