So his crew chief won't make a botched call at Indy again?

Can't be in a position to screw up a pitcall for the win when you're running 15th-20th.

Completely forgot for a moment there Brian Pattie's terrible pit calls the past few years.

Last year, yes. Year before Juan was caught speeding. Or NASCAR says he was speeding to screw him. Whatever. Not Pattie's fault.

And, I though "Swervin Irvan" came from the fact that he purposely wrecked three of Morgan McClure's cars in one weekend at Bristol to get out of his contract with MM to drive for Yates. :p

Not just last year. Remember Pocono this year when Pattie called two tires for track position when they were already leading?

Nah, I heard Ken Squier call him that way before he drove for Yates.

Brian Pattie is directly behind BIG STEEV when it comes to retarded strategy. Good to see him go.

Another to get a new crew chief is AJ Allmendinger.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I know. I just still loathe the man for doing that to Morgan McClure.

Shannon Spake just tweeted that Bestwick is replacing Marty Reid in the booth starting at the Brickyard. I like Marty, but Bestwick is better in my opinion. The luscious Nicole Briscoe replaces Bestwick in the pit studio.

That is incredible, I am now ridiculously excited for ESPN's coverage. Now all we need is for Ralph Sheheen to replace Adam Alexander in the booth for TNT next year.

That is really cool about Bestwick taking over play-by-play but I hope Rusty stays in the studio only as his commentary is very bumbled up.

Thank god. 7 years of mistakes by NBC/TNT and ESPN not having him in the booth have finally been fixed.

According to Jayski, it'll be Bestwick, Jarrett, and Petree in the booth for Cup races. Marty Reid will still call Nationwide races and practice/qualifying. Unfortunately.

That's a demotion for Reid, isn't it? Not that I don't prefer Bestwick, but I'd be pissed if I were Reid, having been with the network so long only to be stuck brodcasting a "minor league" series.

Excellent. Marty Reid was a good pit reporter though.

But a deserved one. If you suck at your job...
