I do agree that it looks very good. But it will only work if the others come up with their own unique design. If Dodge makes something similar, then we are back to the situation that we are in now. And obviously the aerodynamic roof and rear window from the Fusion is something I would copy onto my Cup car. Before last year it looked like the new Nationwide models would also really have their own identity. And after seeing them on track for a whole season I hardly notice the difference.

Good point. The new Camry for example is somewhat boxy and I hope the rooflines and stuff of the 2013 Cup entry reflect that accurately just like this one does for the new Fusion.

But on second looks at that Fusion and how closely they've modeled the production car, and also, hearing from those that have seen the 2013 Charger Cup car saying how accurate that is, I believe NASCAR are dead serious about manufacturer identity now.

In related news, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. says he can win 5 to 10 Nationwide races this year. That's kinda bold, isn't it? You just never know in this sport, I guess. Carl's not running a full sked, and neither is Kyle. We'll hopefully get to see a good mix of faces in victory lane this year.

Maybe I missed the news on a previous page. But the last time I checked Ricky didn't have a deal yet for both Cup and Nationwide. Only Daytona in the #6. It's just amazing that both Roush cars had to run a blank scheme for almost the whole year. You would think sponsors would be happy to join up with a young talent who's winning races. But I guess him not even being sure of a full season in Nationwide after winning the title tells you enough about the financial climate.


Oh and don't worry, the new Camry will be boxy. What they lack in aerodynamics they will make up with those special Toyota/Gibbs engines that always run a bit faster than the other competitors. :lol:

The Nascar Fusion looks really good. It's a very easy car to identify on the track. I'm glad that some brand identity is coming back into Nascar.

Regarding, Roush's Nationwide team. I read something the other day that Roush might be close to getting a sponsor for one of his Nationwide cars. I hope what I read ends up happening because if any unsponsored Nationwide team out there that can give a sponsor exposure by running up front every week, it's Roush-Fenway Racing.

The new Ford NASCAR is great...In the aspect that they made it look like a real car..The Ford Fusion itself..Looks like they tried to breed an old Ford Fusion with an Aston Martin.
