I recall last year’s race being decent though.

Last year's Cup race was actually really good I thought, the track seemed tough to drive. However, for this year I think it's going to come down to whether the groove widens out or if it is mostly single groove, since the NextGen car struggles with dirty air on single groove tracks, but if they have room to get clean air running a different line, it races really well.

If our league race is anything to go by, it’s going to be a great weekend for spectators.
Last year we mirrored the real race, this year because people were more used to the track, it was a clusterfuck wreckfest.

eh, track policies ain't gonna allow enjoyment for spectators when coolers are banned and they run out of the overpriced drinks/water at the concession stands

(I do enjoy the track on iRacing tho, it would be better if the modern cars didn't have tapered spacers or low power spec engines tho)

Holy shit that was stupid. Running after a loose tyre while trucks are coming down pitroad.

Someone else in the pack was throwing a ton of sparks while that wreck was happening.

That's dumb, you Americans really have some backwards thinking lol, but my answer to a cooler ban would be not to go and watch it on TV instead.

the kicker is that Nashville is only one of a handful of tracks that have bans on coolers or outside food/drink; typically most tracks only require it under a certain size (14x14x14) or in a clear bag.

At least it appears they loosened up the restrictions on bottled water & outside food this year (last year that wasn't even allowed from what I recall)

The track is near where the AT&T bombing suspect surrendered at, so guessing maybe that has something to do with it?
