Biggest dude there lumbering around withe fire extinguisher while the driver is scrambling for his life to get out of the car.

Seems like #1 priority would be extinguish the fire.

Yup, I guess they are trained but they were pretty slow and then decided to throw away their extinguishers and try to get the driver out first. Plus these guys always look like the stereotypical big fat American guys. Not the most athletic guys.
