Kyle may be a prick, but he remains the first guy I'd call to put in my racecar.

Reserve judgment on this new/old style of racing until after the 500. All indications point to sweetness, but I thought something similar after the shootout last year.

Jeff Gordon could have lifted a little bit there....he did exactly what Kyle Busch wanted him to do, so everybody wrecks there and Busch ends up winning. But I bet If it was the 500, Gordon would have lifted.

I'd like to borrow your crystal ball one of these days...

Sure it was totally unexpected but....some drivers seem to arouse such situations more than the normal standard. Kyle was lucky this time.

Kyle is a beast, and his lil skit on the frontstretch was gold.

Notice the Kurt Busch "Charm Offensive to try and get a decent ride again 2012" tour getting underway when he was interviewed after the Shootout. How long until the fresh faced enthusiasm and smiles for the camera gets replaced with cursing at his crew when he finishes 20th every week?

While I'm not a fan of Kyle.. that was damn impressive.

His disingenuous attempt of appearing kind and polite will wear of soon, like it always does. He tries to portray himself as very intellectual to the media (and fails a lot at that too), but he's a two-faced guy behind the cameras. Just remember his antics during the interview with Dr. Jerry Punch last year...

Anyways, that was one of the best Budweiser shootouts I have ever seen.

When the video of Kurt telling Finch to go fuck himself pops up I will not be surprised.

KB really deserved the win, his earlier saves were immense and he really is a talent. Chuffed for Ambrose with a good result also!

That shootout was hof material. :D Great ss package, doing just what we wanted it to.

And what can you say about Gerhart.. man was just put on this earth to win plate races.. have to respect him and his team for that I guess.

These guys have all been talking about pushing on the left side..if I'm not mistaken if you did that last year you wrecked too. whats the surprise??

Yea pushing on the left side has been an instant recipe for a spin ever since they started doing this yet they all talked (and drove) like it was a new phenomenon for some reason.

Boy, that was a fun race. Kyle was the man!

Funny how they all forgot not to push into the turns in 1 year though. I hope the 500 and it's bigger field doesn't turn into too much of a crash fest...

What's up with facial hair and american TV anyway? Hermie Sadler, Kyle Petty, Jeff Hammond,... :beard:

After seeing the ARCA race, I'm confident that Bobby Gerhart could go into a sickening series of sidewinders, keep going, and still win the race.

The racing last night was great, but I'm extremely worried for the 500 now. We've already had tons of wrecks after they had "perfected" the two car drafts. Now they've made it a little trickier to do, but they are still trying and it's causing even more wrecks because they are doing it in the middle of these huge packs. They have to learn if you can't push them on the right side of the back bumper, don't push them at all. All it did was cause wrecks. I'm afraid we might beat last year's 500 in caution count.

That said, I enjoyed the actual racing last night. I noticed it seemed easier for drivers to "slingshot" past others. Kyle being the final example. If Keselowski and Ambrose had stayed hooked up they probably would have flown by the both of them.

So, I got a BSOD last night during the 2nd to last caution and missed the end of the race. Checked the video thread this afternoon to find that my favourite driver flipped and my least favourite won. Shit :yuk: .
