It doesn't look like the Modified race was taped for Speed. Here's a picture of the finish.

#99 Mike Stefanik edged #6 Ronnie Silk by .003 seconds.

According to the Cope Twins' Twitter, Amber Cope ran the entire race on old tires. That doesn't excuse what happened but I just thought that was odd.

Natalie Sather just tore up her truck during qualifying.

I know that was her fault, but jeez, its a development series. You can't run a Nationwide race and expect everyone to race like a Cup driver.

It should be for fine-tuning skills and learning how to manage a longer race, not to learn how to fucking drive.

Back to NNS.... I believe Amber Cope should not be driving but there also is an art about battling lap traffic at the end if a race as the leader. See Mark Martin at Charlotte 2002. Now that was awesome.

Even if you think she shouldn't be running Nationwide, that is hardly her fault. Nascar had to approve her for this.

Someone needs to tell SPEED not to use dubstep in their coverage.

NASCAR needs to bring the Cup Series to Iowa ASAP imo. Fuck Kentucky... Or Chicago.... Or Kansas.... Or ah hell you get the picture.

I don't understand, doesn't the leader have to be the first one to the line on the restart?

EDIT: guess the SPEED guys knew Ron spun his tires

Timothy Peters won from the pole. Pretty entertaining race with a lot of good racing inside the top 10. Jeff Choquette deserves a tip of the cap to finish 11th and on the lead lap in his series debut.
