Same. I was so relieved when the cameras cut to his car still on the track.

Couldn't agree more , nascar needs to begin police this kind of shit instead of going full REEEEEEE everytime someone touch the yelow line . This isn't a racing move , this is a demo derby move and at those speed it's ridiculously dangerous

That is a lot of upset sounding people there, don't know if anybody else saw it but there was also a guy off-screen holding up a hand written note to Denny just as they started the interview, never seen that before.

If the screen is up that's very bad.

FOX completely ran away with their broadcast. No excitement, no expectations, nothing.

he doesnt seem to have been aware how bad the wreck was. its possible he didnt even know newman got upside down. jaff in tears cant be a good sign, although the emt's didnt seem to be in too much of a hurry, so i dont know.

not blaney's fault. had a heck of a run, newman could've tried to sidedraft instead of blocking. just racing

Agree.
The way these generation guys race and dump a car is unheard off.
This cant go on nascar.

Fuck Ryan Blaney. Newman had that spot covered and Blaney just dumped him. Filthy and pathetic.

I have to take this one back. When FOX showed the replays, you could see Newman's car twitch just a little when Blaney was trying to push him, which got him offset to the right and dragged pinned him back again to Blaney's nose at the wrong angle. Plus Blaney flat out said in his interview that he was expecting to push him to the line at that moment.

Don't care about anything else racing-related right now other than Newman being in something resembling a hopeful outcome.

Just saw the replay (was watching the race to the line when it was live), holy shit that's bad. I kinda assumed it was impossible to be hurt in these cars now but it's hard to be optimistic about Ryan's chances after seeing that.

This is the thing with NASCAR, it's easy to have fun commenting on here because the cars are so damn safe. This brings it home very quickly and very hard

With the superspeedway wrecks we've had over the last 5-6 years, it's only a matter of time before something really bad happened.

Reminds me of Dale Sr.'s car from Talladega in '96...

Wouldn't they tarp the car if it were really bad?

Some sources are claiming “awake and alert”

Let’s hope it’s true
