Cars running hotter won't bring back pack racing!

Plus the 2 car tandoms kick ass. If we go back to boring single file pack running, it will be dull. The current drafting makes for brilliant racing, if you don't like it, don't watch ffs!

Just make bumpers that don't wedge perfectly into the back of the other car. Doesn't take much.

I imagine they'll still be pushing in tandems most of the day, just swapping a lot more.

As stated so many times before, the idea to make the bumpers not line up isn't the solution. Cars will bumpdraft on superspeedways no matter what's done, and that was never the problem (remember the race when they banned bumpdrafting, and everyone ran in a completely static pack for 100+ laps? That was fun.) All misaligning the bumpers will do is cause more wrecks.

No, what sucks is the 2 car part. I reckon modifying aero to punch a bigger hole in the air is worth a shot; put the roof blades back on the car ala 2001. That should bring back 3+ car packs.

But the idea isn't to completely stop bumpdrafting. The idea is to make it impossible to do it for extended periods of time, which is what a change in the bumpers would accomplish as it would be too dangerous to do it in the corners. As for causing more wrecks, well, these guys seem to find ways to wreck no matter what Nascar does.

I was watching the Gatorade Duels again and this two car thing isn't as bad as they make it to be.

Its been said before, it would be really nice to go back to this again however

I like the kind of racing where passes for the lead don't involve a 20mph speed differential and your success isn't based solely on team orders.

lol wtf, Jr hasn't dominated the plate racing for many years now. Who cares who leads anyway, just get it to where we don't talk about two cars as one and one car can do most of the work by himself without depending on a partner for the entire 500 miles.

increasing the speed (by giving them 6hp) could be the answer, as there might be a speed where the cars become too unstable in the corners to do this tango crap.

The record is 11 in the 2004 Spring race

Only 3 Cup races at Dega have had double digit cautions

And Daytona1 has had the most this year at 16. It's possible.

•Eddie Sharp Racing acquires two KHI truck teams: Eddie Sharp Racing currently a one-team operation in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, announced today that they have acquired a controlling interest in two of Kevin Harvick Inc. Truck Series teams. With the acquisition of the No. 8 and No. 33 KHI trucks, ESR will field three full-time NCWTS teams in 2012. The NCWTS driver line up for ESR will be announced in October. The teams will operate out of Eddie Sharp Racing's current 40,000 square-foot five-star facility in Denver, N.C. "The timing couldn't have been any more perfect," said team owner Eddie Sharp. "We are ready to take this opportunity head on to utilize what Kevin and DeLana have built. It was a marriage made in heaven, because we were ready to move forward at ESR, and this opportunity worked out perfectly. With KHI, you have a turnkey, successful program at the ready. Eddie Sharp Racing's No. 6 truck is currently 19th in NCWTS owner point standings, only 57 points out of the top 12. The team was created in 2006 as Eddie Sharp envisioned his long-term goals as a team owner. The goal was to contend, not simply compete. That desire drove Sharp to obtain a five-star facility, which is what allowed the team to quickly transition from contender to champion.(Eddie Sharp Racing PR)(9-23-2011)

I wonder if this means the end of their ARCA efforts...
