No video, but they discuss it some here: http://www.racing-forums.com/vb/showthr ... 3d&t=38907

I really hope a video gets posted, I'd love to hear it.

I'd be very interested to hear that too. If it was intentional, then that would be the second time this year that Gordon got screwed out of a win. The first being Bristol with the asinine pit road speeding incidents.

It'd also give you more reason to <3 Paul Menard.

Still no video can be found.. but:

Quote:
Ok Im back from work,
And I read everything since I last posted on page 4 or something.

I saw Jimmy Spencers bit on Speed Channels Race Hub. I have it on my DVR still.

This is how it goes:

Menard is something like 80 laps down, the #27 spotter says "The 29 car is leading by 2 seconds, do not need a caution." Menard says, "10-4"

Then later Paul gets back on the radio "Do not need a caution?"
Spotter says "10-4"

Paul kept getting consistent updates on the 24 29 situation.

Then the 27 spotter says "30 to go, 29 in lead, 24 is on his bumper right now."

Then slugger gets on the radio "Check your volt gauge Paul"

Paul says "13.5, WHY?"

Then the 27 spotter says "Clear by 2, 24 and 29 are racing eachother hard right now." Paul says "Stevie, talk to me." 27 spotter says "29 is leading by 3/10th. We are good right now."

Spotter "24 is the leader, Clear by 3 to the 29, 22 laps left to go. 24 leading."

After that RCR Mike Dillion gets on the radio and asks Slugger to go to channel two?

Then Paul says "I think I got a right rear going down."

27 spotter "10-4 I will take a look at it. Just baby it until we find out, we need to finish, back off until your sure."

Mr E says he should have come to pit road because he's so far back it doesn't matter any how.

And that's all I got.
Phhhhewwww

Here's an interesting rumor about the truck series schedule next year.

Quote:
Truck race at Gresham in 2012? Hearing that Gresham Motorsports Park is under serious consideration to host a Camping World Truck Series race in 2012. Gresham Motorsports Park is located in Jefferson, Georgia.

I'm glad that the series is looking at more short tracks. Gresham Motorsports Park is a 1/2 mile oval. The Gresham family has made a lot of changes to the tracks since they took over. They switched the backstretch and the front stretch, so that the late afternoon sun wouldn't beat down on the fans. They also repaved the track and upgraded the concession and restroom facilities and added a 1/4 mile legends track in the infield.

And here's the audio from the race. I'm not too sure myself, considering that ESPN never showed the replay of Menard's spin.

I was suspicious when it was Menard of all people who brought out the caution, not to mention he conveniently stopped and went going again. I guess that pretty much confirms it.

Yeah, I'm calling that intentional.. why else would they ask repeatedly if they need a caution, what a bunch of fucksticks.

So Harvick basically said although he's not aware of the situation, he thinks it's part of the sport to force cautions to help the team. Have these idiots forgotten that accidents are things to be avoided, and intentionally spinning out puts yourself and other drivers in unnecessary danger? Maybe someone needs to be killed on the track again for Harvick, Earl et al to understand why this isn't cool.

Nobody's lamer in this than NASCAR though. Sure teams will try and get any advantage, but for NASCAR to hear that radio dialogue (assuming the transcription is accurate) and not see any reason to act shows how much of a fuckin joke they are now. "Boys have at it" has become a permanent break from officiating.

Harvick does kinda have a point, like it or not.

If Ferrari can use team orders with little to no consequence in F1, why not NASCAR teams?

Because Ferrari just switch their cars around and not have one spin out to cause a caution?

Just ask Renault how well one car crashing on purpose worked out for them...

Bowyer expected to sign with Michael Waltrip Racing: Sirius XM NASCAR Radio's Sirius Speedway with Dave Moody has learned that Clint Bowyer is near agreement on a new, multi-year contract with Michael Waltrip Racing, with an announcement expected within the next 24-48 hours. Bowyer will leave Richard Childress Racing at season's end, after being unable to come to terms with the team for which he has competed for his entire NASCAR Sprint Cup Series career. The Emporia, Kansas, native is reported to have spoken -- at least preliminarily -- with at least four teams; Richard Petty Motorsports, Roush Fenway Racing, Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing and Michael Waltrip Racing. MWR emerged as the leading candidate within the last two weeks, and now, final details are being wrapped up that will put Bowyer in an MWR Toyota Camry next season as a teammate to Martin Truex, Jr., and David Reutimann. Sponsorship will come from Five Hour Energy. The multi-year deal is in the final stages of negotiation, with an official announcement expected this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway

"Michael Waltrip is the absolute worst driver in NASCAR with two Daytona 500 wins, period... but his stats as an owner are pretty damn respectable."
