Well, that's not too bad I guess.

Just wondering if they are as economical as everyone says.

From watching it seems like everyone takes care of their equipment and races cleaner and more professionally than most other classes on the track. I just don't want to be fixing broken parts every weekend because of someone driving like an ass.

everything is super cheap on them.

you can replace a whole front corner for like $40.

Hey Sherman, how much do you know about Legends? We just had our first Legends race here at Showtime Speedway and it seems like a really fun series, I might look into buying one from up in NC. How is the turnout at Auburndale?

A couple Adale drivers were up at Showtime running that. Compared to other series, they usually have the best turnout. I'd say they average anywhere between 12-18 cars on a normal night.

Sad when your best turnout is 12-18 cars.

What's even sadder is that estimate does down when talking about late models. We'd be lucky to get 20 whenever they run the super lates. At the same time the racing is pretty lack luster. Most of the time the late models are single groove with nobody running into anybody. One big game of follow the leader for 100 laps. Whoever gets out front in the first 10 laps usually wins, barring mechanical issues/getting dumped.

lol late models.

we average ~13 of those every week.

the northeast is modified country, we average 25 SK's weekly at our track, 20 ministocks weekly, and 16 street stocks.

this is an average weekly SK race.

we now have two cameras filming the races now.

Ernie Irvan's son Jared is about to start racing late models. Some pictures of Jared's car have appeared on Ernie's facebook page and I think it'll bring back some memories.

Well I've never really seen a PASS late model race, or know anything about the series at all. Don't really know the drivers, how the officiating is. I've really no idea what to expect. I'm just hoping it's more organized than anything that's run here the past year or so.

I'm excited nonetheless. I know for sure there will be a huge crowd turnout.

Pietro Fittipaldi is no longer receiving public financial incentives from brazilian government on his Late Models career aiming higher ladder series.

Last year, Fittipaldi family managed to get government incentives through a recent law called "Law of incentive for sports and culture". But since then, has been much criticized by Public Ministry.

The controversy arose because the law is supposed to benefit athletes or sports who bring immediate benefit for brazilian society as whole and this week, Fittipaldi family failed to prove that Pietro Fittipaldi in a NASCAR career benefits directly brazilian society. Besides, Emerson Fittipaldi is rich enough not to depend on government help. He's the owner of many companies, there's no need for that. Pietro is also a good driver, he wouldn't have problems to find more sponsorships inside and outside the US.

If Pietro has a brilliant future in NASCAR, let's do it right then. So many others haven't had government help and managed to fulfill their dreams, Emerson Fittipaldi himself a big example of that.

The All-American 400 is under way. Eddie Hoffman started on the pole. Nate Caruth, driving for Brad Keselowski and former Truck Series Rookie of the Year Willie Allen are among the leaders. Kyle Busch is in 3rd. Sterling Marlin brushed the wall and had to pit for right side tires.

Fast qualifier Kyle Benjamin just crashed on the frontstretch while running 4th. 69 laps have been completed. Nate Caruth still leads.

Top 4 cars didn't pit. Daniel Hemric took over the lead. Mason Mingus restarted in 2nd but 3rd place Gray Gaulding got into him and spun him, amazingly the rest of the field missed Mingus' car. Gaulding gets sent to the rear for rough driving.

Soon after the restart, Kyle Busch on fresh tires takes the lead.

This might be a long night. There might be rain heading towards the track and only green flag laps count. Johnny Clark passed Kyle Busch for the lead. Clark then lost the lead to Donnie Wilson.

I was away for a couple of hours. Appearently Ross Kenseth is leading but the race is under yellow because of rain at lap 220.
