Levi Mansfield won tonight's ARCA Truck Series race at Kil-Kare. It's a nice little track, wish the ARCA cars would go back. It reminds me of the old Louisville Motor Speedway in a sense, with a curved backstretch. Some drivers claim the place has 9 turns!

So I read this on another board after Mason Mitchell left the 99 team:
Quote:
And there's chaos in the 99 crew. I guess something along the line's of Mason's dad's name is not Russ Mitchell, but in fact something totally different. And also the fact he's convicted of like 6 felonies. Stay tuned.

Well, I guess this was the precursor a few days before Chicagoland:

Quote:
Mason Mitchell out at Roulo Brothers Racing; Galen Hassler in? UPDATE: Galen Hassler posted on his personal Facebook account today that he "got a call from Roulo Bros. Racing to run the #99 Roulo Bros./Roush Ford at Chicago this weekend" and that "things could still change but as of now [he] will be in the car." Mitchell has not appeared on the Chicagoland entry list after stating that he had secured primary sponsorship from Happy Cheeks for the remainder of the season in April. (07-17-13)
UPDATE: Mason Mitchell is now entered to drive the No. 68 Clarksville Schwinn Ford at Chicagoland for Kimmel Racing. It appears that Mitchell's family pulled the funding that he was bringing to Roulo Brothers Racing due to performance issues. He will likely start and park this weekend in hopes of maintaining his fifth place position in ARCA's driver standings. (07-18-13)

Let go due to performance issues in a team that won last year's championship? I had a feeling it had to be a little more than that. 8O

Sounds like the ARCA Truck Series race at Lake County Speedway in Painesville,OH (near Cleveland) yesterday was a bit crazy.

14 trucks started. 4 finished. This was the second place truck:

I asked about the race on Facebook, got a response from one of the Carter 2 Motorsports people.
Quote:
33 (Bobby Dale Earnhardt) was parked for rough driving, then the 25 (Cody Quarrick) and 81 (Shawn Szep) were also parked. However, Bobby turned a few trucks, and there wasn't any contact with the 25 and 81 from what I was told. Shawn Szep(#81) made a 3 wide move and made the pass cleanly and they threw the black flag because he clipped the grass. I also heard Bobby Dale got punched after the race.

Sounds like your average night at Bowman Gray Stadium.

Mason Mitchell has signed a deal to run the remainder of the season in the #82 Empire Racing Ford, who normally fields a part-time entry for Sean Corr in ARCA and in the Truck Series.

Found out that there was no fight at Lake County this past weekend after the ARCA truck race. It was still pretty rough though:

Seems like some drivers thought it was a demolition derby instead of a race.

Fuck. Did not set my DVR and won't be back home till Sunday.

Also, apparently the ARCA race from Pocono is today. Had no idea till I was searching my channel guide looking for stuff to record.

Did they get the pileup?

they showed three different angles(one was an onboard of the #69 i think). they didn't catch the initial contact that started the wreck but you could see a bunch of cars just pile into the first two cars that were already turned around

Great race to watch. Bumpy track, cars bumping doors and up in the air most of the time instead of sealed off to the ground like at the new 'facilities'. Can't wait for the rest. Thank you so much, NBCSN.
