Ned Jarrett is on wind tunnel. Telling stories about him and Junior Johnson wrecking each other. Pretty fucking cool.

I doubt there's much money to be made start-and-parking at the ARCA level.

I think it paid $800 to start the ARCA race yesterday. So I guess last place got that much at least.

He took the lead from George Meidecke (Marcos Ambrose's driver) coming to the white... Hope they have something for TV.

Son of Andrew?

Man, I wish an established team would pick up Ranger... even JR Fitzpatrick has more talent than half the Nationwide field nowadays.

I was impressed by that yesterday. I've never heard before of the guy racing in the #20.

I wouldn't go that far.

No? Fitzpatrick is young and has minimal experience in the Nationwide COT's on ovals. Throw in the fact that he's with a brand new team (a Canadian team, at that) running in the top 25 consistently, so I find it pretty impressive. He's not exactly setting the world on fire, but he's got talent. Lots of it.

He's run two races for that new Canadian team, and finished in the top 25 for them once.

He's quick when times are good, but he's easily rattled. The physical talent is there, but I'm not sure if he's quite mentally there yet.

As painful as it is to watch Nationwide races these days, I have been keeping an eye on them. Barely staying on the lead lap most of the time, but running just outside the top 20 most of the time. The finishes really aren't there yet, I agree.

Maybe I'm just hurting for a little Canadian content in my racing. Not that it's ever really amounted to much in NASCAR (Randy MacDonald, anyone?), but a guy can dream. :)
